Efficient Lighting was initially established in 2006 to provide electrical contracting services to utility providers to meet demand for multifamily retrofits of energy efficient lighting fixtures.
Electrical contractors who participated in the subsidy programs were required to purchase ENERGY STAR qualified lighting fixtures from a limited number of approved lighting manufacturers. Due to the success of the program and high demand for products, this resulted in products not being available and limited styles.
That’s when we stepped up to fill the gap by creating our own energy efficient lighting fixtures.
By taking control of the entire manufacturing process from product design to sourcing raw materials to shipping logistics, we were able to put more effort into our product design and packaging concepts. This allowed us to tackle long standing manufacturing issues like poor product designs, complicated installation processes, and excess packaging waste.
As we honed our own products, we decided to build a brand focused on simple and efficient lighting designs with easy installation and contractor packaging to reduce paper and plastic waste.
We started with only five fixtures. As we grew, other contractors approached us wanting to buy our products. Soon, our brand became the go-to for contractors looking for quality products with easy installation. Thanks to our manufacturing success, we decided to pivot from installation to focus exclusively on manufacturing of interior and exterior fixtures in a wide assortment of designs,
finishes, and wattage capabilities.
Over the years, we’ve grown from five SKUs to hundreds of fixtures and ability to do customize lighting projects. Our small but mighty team works out of our West Coast office in Anaheim, California and our East Coast office and warehouse in Parsippany, New Jersey, helping us better serve clients across the U.S. and Canada.
Though we’ve grown, our core mission hasn’t changed. We aim to offer the highest quality fixtures at value prices to distributors, wholesalers, contractors, builders, designers, engineers, specifiers, and architects working with hotel and multi-family building projects.
We believe you shouldn’t have to compromise quality for affordability. Our work proves you can have both.
